Roseville offers respite accommodation on the outskirts of Mount Gambier. It is a place to settle in, enjoy familiar routines and spend time doing things you enjoy, with disability support planned around your needs.

Set on a three-acre property, Roseville has comfortable bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, gardens, a covered barbecue area, and a music and games room.
Facilities include accessible paths and an accessible bathroom, shower chairs, electric beds and lifters. Wheelchair-accessible vans are available for agreed outings. We will confirm that the accommodation, equipment and staffing can meet your individual requirements before accepting a booking.
We can discuss local outings and activities around your interests, usual routines and support needs. There is also room to enjoy a quieter stay. Your preferences, communication needs, privacy and choices belong at the centre of planning.
The NDIS currently describes this funding as short-term accommodation (STA). Its purpose is to give you and the family or friends who provide your main unpaid disability support time apart, helping sustain your usual support arrangements.
You may qualify if you live with those informal supports, or receive daily drop-in support from them, and receive more than six hours of their disability-related support each day on a long-term basis. The NDIA also requires at least one further factor: high-intensity care, intensive or specialist behaviour support, limited access to alternative in-home support, a risk to your informal supports’ ability to keep caring, or their additional caring responsibilities.
Funding is not available for people in supported independent living, those with primary or supplementary individualised living options funding, or those receiving more than 18 hours of paid support at home daily. It is also unavailable where someone lives independently without drop-in informal support, or is not having time apart from their primary informal supports.
The NDIA generally funds up to 28 days a year, in stays of up to 14 days. These are not automatic entitlements. Your plan, usual support needs and available funding determine what you can use. Speak with your my NDIS contact if your plan does not include the support you need.

Current NDIS pricing separates accommodation from support worker assistance. We will discuss the applicable accommodation, daytime and overnight support charges with you before booking. You should only be charged for supports actually provided.
Food, groceries, meals, tickets, entry fees and other activity costs are paid from your own money. Eligible disability support to prepare or eat meals, or participate in an activity, may still be funded. Respite funding does not pay for holidays, cruises or airfares. Transport arrangements and any separate transport funding need to be checked before booking.
We will talk through meal choices, outings and transport so you know which costs are yours before deciding on a stay.
We will discuss your dates, support and overnight needs, accessibility, equipment, medication and mealtime requirements, and any relevant health or behaviour support plans. Complex support requirements must be confirmed before a stay can be accepted.
Your service agreement will explain the agreed supports, prices, personal costs, cancellation conditions and emergency arrangements. We will help you understand it in a way that suits your communication needs. You can involve a family member, supporter or support coordinator of your choice.
LCA can help you explore a suitable stay. The NDIA makes funding decisions; a booking with LCA does not guarantee that your NDIS plan can pay for it.
