Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is help and/or supervision of daily tasks to aid participants to live as independently as possible while building their skills.

In SIL, trained and dedicated staff are there to support you to work towards reaching your individual NDIS goals as well as supporting you in daily tasks. These include but are not limited to:

  • Skills development
  • Medication management
  • Meal preparation & cooking
  • Domestic & household tasks
  • Meal planning & grocery shopping
  • Assisting with & maintaining high standards of personal care.
  • Support to attend appointments
  • Social support in the community
  • Support to increase independence.
  • Money handling and budgeting skills
  • Encouraging & supporting peer relationships.

LCA staff work in accordance with the organisational values and are dedicated to respect each individual, tailoring a personalised service. We understand that one size does not fit all and LCA staff work with clients listening to how they wish to be supported and to tailor that support to each individual client.
