About the role
As a Disability Support Worker with LCA, you work alongside people with disability to support their choices, routines and participation in community life.
- Support may include personal care, household tasks, shopping, meal planning, cooking and practising daily living skills.
- Our services include Supported Independent Living, Home and Community Support, Day Options and Group Getaways.
- Some rosters include overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays. The duties and hours for a particular opportunity will be discussed with you.
- Listen to each person, respect their culture and preferences, and provide assistance in line with their agreed support plans and your role.
- Work with the team to support dignity, safety, choice and independence.

Skills and Experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009)
- Current SA Drivers Licence
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance for this role
- Current South Australian Working with Children Check, where required for the duties
- Certificate III in Individual Support, or willingness to obtain it
- Rights to work in Australia
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You
- Good level of IT skills and use of smart technology
- Strong communication skills
- Own vehicle and willing to undergo a roadworthy check.
- A respectful, reliable approach and willingness to uphold LCA’s values
